Most ships anchor off Spanish Town (The Valley) and tender to the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour, where the taxis run the 10 minutes south to The Baths — the granite boulder grottoes almost everyone comes for — and on to Spring Bay and Savannah Bay. The rest work Gorda Sound (North Sound) at the top of the island, anchoring off Bitter End Yacht Club, Saba Rock and Leverick Bay, which is a different place with a different set of beaches and bars a taxi ride over the hill from Spanish Town. Both are tender operations, so calls run from a 30-berth sailing yacht to a few hundred passengers.
