Two bars, both boat-only: Coral Bay Harbor on St. John and Lindbergh Bay on St. Thomas. Here is how to get there, what it costs and what is on the menu.

Lime Out is a taco bar that floats. A purpose-built barge with a kitchen at one end and a bar at the other is moored in a sheltered bay, and you eat and drink from the water — in the lily-pad floats and the swim-up seats around it. The original opened in Coral Bay on St. John in 2019; a second bar now floats in Lindbergh Bay on St. Thomas. Both serve the same eight tacos ($10–16) and the same $18 craft cocktails from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, both are card-only and first come, first served, and both are boat only: you cannot swim, kayak or paddle out from shore. A shuttle seat costs $25–30 on either island; the Taco Tug from Crown Bay Marina is the St. Thomas signature trip from $100, and the full-day charters from Cruz Bay run $149–195. Both bars close for hurricane season in mid-August and reopen in October.

Pick the island you are on. Shuttles are the cheap, quick seat — ten minutes out, two hours at the bar, ten minutes back. Every option leaves from Coral Bay: a two-hour shuttle from the dock behind the fire station or Pirate's Cove, a rented dinghy, or a day charter from Cruz Bay that stops here on its way round the island.

Coral Bay has dinghy rentals a few minutes' walk from the dock, and the bar keeps a side for boaters. On your own boat: idle speed in the harbour, anchor in sand only, and leave the private moorings alone.
The bar floats a short swim off Emerald Beach, but you cannot swim, kayak or paddle out from shore — the ten-minute Taco Taxi from the beach, the Taco Tug from Crown Bay Marina, or a Friday or Saturday catamaran are the ways out.

Bring your own boat into Lindbergh Bay at idle speed and pick up one of the day-use balls. Or put the bar on a private charter day — a crewed boat for your party, quoted by competing captains.
Two people on St. John, taxi from Cruz Bay, the $30 shuttle, two tacos, a cocktail and a beer each with a tip: about $250, or $125 a head. The same two on the Taco Tug from Crown Bay: about $330, $165 each, with the Honeymoon Beach snorkel stop and four hours on the water in that. Change any of it below.
Tacos at an average $13 (they run $10–16), cocktails $18, draft beer $10, juices $7 — from the 2025 menu. Boat fares are the operators' published adult rates; the booking calendar shows the live price. Taxi is the official fixed fare with two or more riding. Nothing here is a quote.

You cannot swim, kayak or paddleboard out from shore at either bar. Arrive on a vessel — a shuttle, a charter, your own boat or a rented dinghy.
Swim only a few yards from your boat and never across the harbour channel; other boats are moving through it all day.

The Coral Harbor Shuttle leaves the dock behind the Coral Bay fire station at 10:00, 11:30 and 1:30 for $30 (two hours at the bar), FlyAway's FlyOut to LimeOut runs from Pirate's Cove for $25, and Salty Daze's Salt + Lime Express runs hourly for $30. From Cruz Bay, Bad Kitty's Tuesday day trip ($195) and Cruz Bay Watersports' snorkel sail ($149) both end at the bar. You can also rent a dinghy in Coral Bay.
Also boat only. The Taco Taxi runs ten minutes out from Emerald Beach in Lindbergh Bay every half hour or so from 10 AM to 2:30 PM for $30 round trip. The Taco Tug, a restored Navy whaleboat, leaves Crown Bay Marina at 9:00 and 2:00 for a four-hour trip with a Honeymoon Beach snorkel stop, from $100. On Fridays the Castaway Cat sails from the cruise dock with tacos and drinks included ($219), and on Saturdays Heavenly Days sails from Bolongo Bay.
Not from shore — Lime Out asks that nobody swims, kayaks or paddleboards out to the bar. You arrive on a boat; the shuttles tie up alongside, and the tour boats anchor a short swim off (about 200 feet for the Taco Tug, 40 feet for the Taco Taxi), with floats provided.
Tacos run $10 to $16 (short rib $13, shrimp $14, surf + turf $16), craft cocktails are $18 for 16 oz, draft beer is $10 and juices are $7. Two tacos and two cocktails with a tip is about $85 a person. Add the boat: $25–30 for a shuttle, $100 for the Taco Tug, $149–219 for a full-day or cruise-day trip. No — the bar is first come, first served at both locations. The shuttles and tours do take bookings, and on cruise-ship days they sell out, so book the boat.

Yes, on St. Thomas. The Taco Tug from Crown Bay Marina and the Friday Castaway Cat from the WICO dock are both timed for cruise days and guarantee you back at the dock 90 minutes before all-aboard. The Taco Taxi from Emerald Beach is a ten-minute taxi ride from either cruise dock.
Yes. It is a bar, but it is family-friendly during the day, and the shuttles and day trips take children (the Coral Harbor Shuttle charges $20 under 12). There is no bathroom on the bar, which matters more with small children.
