• These fares and departure times are the current published schedule as verified on August 8, 2026, drawn directly from the ferry operators (Inter Island Boat Services). Ferry schedules do change seasonally and by day of week — always confirm departure times with the operator before you travel.

Good to know

• International crossing — passport required
• Direct from St. John — no need to go back to Red Hook
• Round trip is an 8-hour day trip — return departs Great Harbour at 3:30pm
• Sunday, Tuesday & Friday service only
• Minimum 15 passengers required — operator may cancel and offer refund/date change
• Check-in 45 minutes before departure
• Customs/immigration fees not included — additional $30/person
• BVI entry: complete online e-card at bviedcard.gov.vg before travel

• Sunday, Tuesday & Friday only. Arrive at dock by 2:45pm for return. Minimum 15 passengers required.

Entry requirements (international crossing)

• A valid passport is required for every traveler — this ferry crosses into the British Virgin Islands.
• Complete the online BVI e-card at bviedcard.gov.vg before you travel.
• Budget for BVI entry/departure fees on top of the ferry ticket (roughly $30–40 per person in port fees, departure tax, and tourism levy).
• Arrive 60–90 minutes early to clear customs and immigration.
