Private powerboat day trips from St. Thomas to St. John, the cays and the British Virgin Islands, on a 37' Intrepid for up to 12, with a captain born and raised in the islands.
The whole boat is yours · Licensed captain, snorkel gear, ice and water included
Fun Hog Charters is a private boat for your group and nobody else's: a 37-foot Intrepid center console with twin 400-horsepower Mercurys, leaving from Compass Point Marina on St. Thomas's East End. Owner Cy Thompson was born and raised on St. Thomas and sailed at two Olympic Games; his U.S. Coast Guard–licensed captains plan the day around you and the weather. Spend it on St. John's north shore, Christmas Cove and the cays, or cross to the British Virgin Islands for White Bay and the Soggy Dollar, Sandy Spit, the Caves at Norman Island or the Baths. Prices are for the boat, not the seat, so a group of six pays the same as two.

Snorkel gear aboard
Adult and child masks, snorkels and fins, pool noodles and a dive door for getting in and out.
Shade and cold drinks
A big T-top, two coolers filled with ice and bottled water, a stereo for your music and a freshwater rinse.
Good to know
Where you meet
Compass Point Marina, 6300 Estate Frydenhoj, on the East End of St. Thomas. Fun Hog confirms the time and slip when you book.
What's extra
Fuel is charged at the end of the day by consumption (card or cash). BVI trips add customs fees of $75 per person, paid in cash, with extra fees on Sundays and holidays. A 20% gratuity is standard in the Virgin Islands.
Passport
BVI trips cross an international border: every passenger needs a valid passport. USVI trips (St. Thomas, St. John and the cays) need no passport.
What to bring
Towels, a hat, non-aerosol reef-safe sunscreen, a camera, and cash plus passports for a BVI day.
Itinerary
Talk the day through when you book; BVI days are best planned early, because the islands are farther apart and clearing customs takes time.
